These Energo Snag Bars are equipped with LED lighting. The coloured part on top reacts to the bite detector to which you connect these snag bars. The connection for power and indication go directly into your bite alarm via a standard mini-jack cable. You can also turn off the volume on the bite alarm if the situation requires it and react to the lights only, for example when you are fishing under your own side or at a small spot with shy fish. Even if your swinger or pendant has already fallen off the line during a hard run in the middle of the night, you can immediately see which rod to grab.
