By deploying this swivel you create the ideal mount to counteract the loosening of the hook by the head shake of the carp. Due to the large ring the swivel cannot be pulled into the clip but bumps against the Hit&Run lead clip/inline lead. It is now attached sliding, so to speak. However, because the swivel is mounted as a pulley system and the leader therefore runs double through the clip, there is enough pressure on the hook point to poke the fish but he cannot use the lead to release the hook with head shake. As soon as he shakes his head after hooking, the lead will slide dosed backwards and increase the distance to the fish. The lead cannot then pry the hook point loose. If a swivel is fastened in the system it takes more effort for the lead to slip. Especially with heavy lead, the fish can then still get loose due to head shaking.
