The float tube, what a cool invention! A float tube is a floating one-person boat that consists of multiple air chambers, with which you can fish on pretty much any water. From the float tube, or belly boat, you can go to any spot and you don't need a ramp to get onto the water. You simply put on your wading suit/wadersuit and walk into the water. The belly boat itself is a kind of chair filled with air that ensures you float comfortably. You move about by using your flippers and you have your hands free for your rods and to concentrate on fishing.

Buying a belly boat

Belly boats are available in many different versions. With all models, however, it is so that the belly boat floats by inflating the air chambers. Each belly boat has a different arrangement and some of them even have a chair that can be filled with air. A belly boat can be set up according to your own wishes and many anglers choose to mount boat supports and even fish finders. Belly boats are vulnerable because of the filled air chambers, but it rarely happens that such a chamber leaks during fishing – a belly boat is therefore relatively safe. Be careful when you are fishing on bigger waters, especially with other boat traffic.
