With the Deep Sea models of the BG series, DAIWA offers excellent deep sea rods for fishing large cod, halibut or redfish. The guide eyes and action of the extremely robust blanks are precisely tailored to the needs of different deep sea fishing methods with natural and artificial baits. The long front handle allows optimal pressure to be applied during the fight with the fish. The BG Deep Sea 175cm rod has a slightly stiffer blank and is suitable for fishing with large shads and pilkers even at great depths: ideal for large cod, pollock and halibut. To safely attach very heavy multiplier reels, the Deep Sea models are equipped with a DPS-H reel seat and safety screw.
