The Sahara RD is a mid-range rear drag reel that exudes Shimano quality. The platinum and gold accents on this reel make it pleasing to the eye. With 3 shielded stainless steel ball bearings, a roller bearing and a multi disk rear drag, the operation is extremely smooth and the fighting drag gives even more instant control while fighting the fish. The cold-forged spool with AR-C design make the spool suitable for both mono and braided line. The Varispeed line mechanism ensures that the line will not “dig in” to the underlying windings. This reduces friction allowing you to cast further. The Sahara RD is available in sizes 1000 through 4000. The Sahara RD is a versatile freshwater reel, suitable for predatory fishing as well as fishing for bream and other whitefish.
