The Headbanger Cranky Shad has a very erratic and evasive side-to-side Headbanger action with a powerful low frequency vibration. It moves a lot of water, making it super easy for predatory fish to perceive. The Cranky Shad has a rattle, realistic eyes and internal holographic foils. Combined with the transparent lacquer, this gives the Cranky Shad depth and a natural look.
This has proven to be a great lure for perch, pike and trout, as well as other predatory fish such as predatory bleak and zander on shallow water. Simple, straight retrieving provides a great swimming action, which can be further enhanced with pauses and jerks. The erratic action also makes it an excellent lure for trolling and by adding some lead you can let it do its job in deeper water. Try it on the river too!
