The Ringers Pellet Pump removes air from the pellets and replaces it with water, causing them to sink. Fill the pump with pellets and then with plenty of water or scent and pull the whole thing under vacuum, so that the pellets soften and thus easily excrete their scent compounds. The pumped or soaked pellets are strong enough to stay on the hook long and firmly, but soft enough to pull off the hook when reeling in a fish.
