The high-end baitcasting reel from the DAIWA Japan range. Combining the new Hyper Drive Design concept with the new SV Boost slip concept, DAIWA now offers an extremely lightweight but highly durable baitcasting reel, whose configuration has been pre-configured to enable optimal results without time-consuming optimization of settings.
The Hyper Drive Design concept of the Steez LTD consists of a combination of a sturdy magnesium housing – the Hyper Armed Housing – which securely mounts the gear in the mill frame – with a CNC-cut Hyper Drive Digigear. This gear is further strengthened by larger teeth in the traction wheel but still offers a very smooth and rounded action due to a special manufacturing process. The Hyper Tough Clutch lever is optimized to remain securely in its position even during powerful casts.
Due to the Hyper Double Support, the pinion is mounted on both sides via one ball bearing each, leading to better and more even power transmission from the handle. The surface of the pinion is specially treated to prevent electrostatic corrosion and extend its life.
