Gamakatsu Specialist R

The Gamakatsu Specialist R is a great carp hook that hooks more than well because of its ultra-thin, sharp point and its 15-degree inward-curving eye. The wider opening makes this hook more secure, even under heavy pressure. The inward pointing also offers great advantages on bumpy ground; they generally stay sharper than hooks with a straight point because they are much better protected against stones, for example. The special flat forged curved shank gives this hook extra power and strength. Specialist R hooks are ideal for river fishing or for fishing in waters where more pressure needs to be applied to the fish.
