This hook features an outward facing hook eye. Perfect for chod rigs, hinged stiff rigs and fluorocarbon D-rigs. The Super Wide Gape was born after many intensive discussions with Fox’s consultants and other highly experienced carp anglers. The largest possible gape of the hook will result in more hooked carp, is the emphatic opinion of many carp anglers. Therefore, Fox has developed a hook with a larger gape; even larger than the gape of the very popular Wide Gape and Stiff Rig hooks. Meet the Super Wide Gape, this hook has a long and wide bend, a super-sharp, inward hook point and a larger gape than ever before. In testing, this hook has proven – even in combination with the simplest rigs – to be an incredible carp catcher. Thanks to this large gape, the probability of a good hooking – once the carp has sucked up the hook – is many times higher. Therefore, there is less need to think about “rig mechanics” and the focus can be put on fishing the right spot.
