That Spro has a huge assortment of leadheads is probably well known. There is a leadhead for every situation. But what makes this Special Jig so special?
First of all, the leadhead is cast on a hook specially designed by Spro for this jighead. The hook is as Spro calls it ‘flat forged’, so it is not round but rather square. This makes the hook up to 5 times stronger than ‘regular’ hooks.
The Spro Jighead HD Special Jig has a relatively small lead buy compared to its hook. Thus, larger shads that already carry enough weight of their own can still be fished quite lightly. The extra long hook ensures that even with the larger shads the hook point is in the middle of the bait.
The Special Jig is also equipped with an anti-slip barb in front of the shad, which ensures that the lure remains firmly in place during fishing.
