The Pop Up Making Pack from CC Moore is a great kit for making your own pop-ups and wafters. The pop-up mix binds well, releases odor and flavor and has very high buoyancy. The longer you let the pop-ups dry, the higher the buoyancy will be. The pop-ups are very easy and quick to make with this kit. In addition, it is possible to give the pop-ups a shape of your choice, in order to attack the fish in high pressured waters.
Making pop-ups:
- Beat together 1 medium egg with desired amount of liquid and any other attractors
- Add pop-up mix (until malleable but not too sticky)
- Leave in a sealed plastic bag for at least 30 minutes
- Roll the bait into the desired shape and size
- Allow bait to warm in water for 1-2 minutes (below boiling point)
- Dry for another 24-72 hours, depending on the hardness required
