The BG Monocoque reel from DAIWA is an ultra-strong spinning reel and sea reel with a Monocoque body.
With the BG Monocoque reel, DAIWA introduces the next generation of the incredibly strong and robust BG reels.
Thanks to the MQ design, the drive wheel can be enlarged by as much as 20-40% (depending on model size) compared to conventional spinning mills. This significantly improves power transmission and longevity. The teeth on the drive wheel are also enlarged, providing better durability and longer life.
The undeformable aluminum body provides optimal housing for the gears and ensures smooth operation.
Depending on size, BG MQ reels are the right choice for medium-heavy freshwater spin fishing – especially for heavy lures and intensive use – but they are also suitable for extreme sea fishing for tuna.
The 6000 and 20000 sizes are the appropriate powerhouses for medium-heavy and heavy fishing in Norway for large cod and halibut.
